Thank you to all applicants for your time and effort in the 2012 Ceremonial Guard audition tour. Listed below are successful and stand-by personnel. Candidates on both lists are required to contact the Ceremonial Guard at CGBand@forces.gc.ca and confirm their willingness to participate.
To ensure all enrolment procedures are completed in time, new applicants should establish contact with their local Canadian Forces recruiting centre to begin processing. Keeping in mind that the recruiting window for applicants is very small; the earlier applicants establish contact with the Recruiting Centre, the easier the transition is through the recruiting process. Those applicants that are initially placed on the standby list are very much encouraged to initiate and complete your recruiting process with your Canadian Forces Recruiting Centre, as there is always the possibility that accepted applicants may decide not to enrol and those on the standby list will then be called to replace them.
Should an applicant by chance forget their audition number, you can contact the Ceremonial Guard band office at CGBand@forces.gc.ca and they will confirm your number. Applicants should appreciate that the Ceremonial Guard completes over 300 auditions annually for approximately 126 positions. Therefore, on some instruments, there will be many more applicants that play at an acceptable standard than there are available positions.
We strongly encourage all musicians to whom we could not offer a position with the Band of the Ceremonial Guard, to apply again in the future.
