The Canadian Army is currently conducting operations in Afghanistan as part of Joint Task Force (JTF) Afghanistan, the Canadian component of the International Security Assistance Force.
Together with Canada's NATO and UN allies, JTF Afghanistan is working with the consent of the Afghan government to promote security and development.
