The Royal Canadian Artillery Band - Members & CD

The music perfomed by The Royal Canadian Artillery Band is a diverse repertoire encompassing many musical styles from classical wind ensemble and traditional marches to jazz and rock numbers.

The five new albums, available now from the band, feature the following ensembles:  Jazz Task Force, (Jazz combo), Masterblaster (Rock / Pop), The RCA Pipes and Drums, McSquinties (Celtic), and the Brass and Woodwind ensembles.  The Pipes and Drums album represents the first time in Canadian history that regular force pipers and drummers, one of the newest components of the music branch, have recorded a CD.

A number of guest artists were gathered to support this recording project.  Former senator, and jazz pianist, Tommy Banks sat in on a tune for the Jazz combo’s recording.  Singer Alfie Zappacosta assisted in the combo’s interpretation of What a Wonderful World, and The RCA Pipes and Drums album was a collaboration with The RCAF Pipes & Drums from Winnipeg.
