There are currently three ranges and training areas in Southern Ontario. For more information, please select a facility.

Cedar Springs

Cedar Springs Range and Training Area

Range at Cedar Springs

The Cedar Springs Range and Training Area was established in 1912 and is situated on approximately 134 acres of land southwest of the town of Blenheim near Chatham, Ontario.

Flags and Lights

While the facility is in use, red flags will be raised throughout the range. When the red flags are up, it is particularly important to obey the warning signs and stay off the premises. In low light conditions, red strobes may be used in place of or in addition to red flags. If you see green flags or lights, do not assume that it is safe to enter! Entrance is still prohibited without prior authorization, and firing may resume at any moment.

Watercraft and Beachfront

The Cedar Springs Range and Training Area is bordered to the south by Lake Erie. Warning signs are in place on the beach, and buoys are placed in the water from May to November each year, to indicate the danger area. It is important to avoid this area, both on the beach and in the water, at all times.

Firing Times

We strive to maintain a good relationship with residents who live near the Cedar Springs Range and Training Area. To this end, firing is permitted only between the hours of 08:00AM and 10:00PM.
