5 CDTC has an approximate strength of one hundred and twenty full time Regular Force and Primary Reserve Officers and Soldiers.

Regular Force Openings

Fifty percent of 5 CDTC’s positions consist of Regular Force positions, with an annual turnover rate of twenty positions.

Primary Reserve – long term Class B Positions

There are approximately sixty long term, Class B Positions that consist of a variety of ranks and trades.

Positions that are open and available are advertised on the Reserve Employment Opportunities Website. They are also listed on the 5 CDTC Facebook page.

Primary Reserve – short term CFTPO Positions

Short term employment at 5 CDTC consists of approximately five hundred CFTPO positions throughout the year. The bulk of these positions are created to support the Individual Training Summer Program (ITSP) in the April to August timeframe and a variety of ranks and trades are required to fill these positions.

Reporting In (other than Summer CFTPO tasks)

Course Staff and support personnel tasked to 5 CDTC (Gagetown) will report to the 5 CDTC Orderly Room at Building L-33 to receive their PLC card.

Course Staff and support personnel tasked to 5 CDTC (Det Aldershot) will report in to Building 210 to receive their PLC card.

Reporting In (Summer CFTPO tasks)

Course Staff and support personnel tasked to 5 CDTC (Gagetown) will report to the 5 CDTC Summer Orderly Room at Building M-5.

Course Staff and support personnel tasked to 5 CDTC (Det Aldershot) will report in to Bldg 210 to receive their PLC card.
