41 Combat Engineer Regiment was created to provide engineer support  to 41 Canadian Brigade Group.  The home station of the Regiment is in Edmonton and it consists of a Regimental Headquarters and three sub-units:

  • 25 Engineer Squadron in Edmonton
  • 33 Engineer Squadron in  Calgary and   
  • an Administration Squadron that is staffed by both Edmonton and Calgary personnel

We train on Wednesday nights 7- 10 pm during the training year (September to May).

41 Combat Engineer Regiment was created on 23 November 2006 through the amalgamation of Edmonton’s 8th Field Engineer Regiment (8 FER) and Calgary’s 33rd Field Engineer Squadron (33 FES). Amalgamation means the joining of two or more units into one,  with the resulting unit being entitled to the combined honours and history of the constituent units. 41 CER was officially stood-up on September  6, 2008 at The Military Museums in Calgary, Alberta.
