Who We Are

20th Independent Field Battery, RCA is a Reserve Force artillery unit based out of Lethbridge, Alberta. Lethbridge is the birthplace of all of the artillery batteries currently embodied in 41 Canadian Brigade Group artillery units.

Our History

The battery was reorganized as a regiment and designated 18th Air Defence Regiment, RCA on November 10, 1992. In 2011 was redesignated 20th Independent Field Battery, RCA.

The 20th Independent Field Battery, RCA originated in Lethbridge, Alberta on February 1, 1908 when the 25th Battery, was authorized to be formed.
