Who We Are

The 2nd Field Regiment is a Reserve unit within the Canadian Army, and is made up of citizen-gunners, also known as reservists. The vast majority of the Regiment's members serve in the Army on a part-time basis and have civilian occupations or attend school. The 2nd Field Regiment is composed of two sub-units, known as batteries, namely 7th Battery and 50th Battery. Our unit is made up of approximately 120 members to date.

Trained and ready for combat, the defence of Canada and North America is the Land Force's primary mandate. The Army has the skills and capability necessary to respond to a wide variety of potential threats to national security. The Regiment is also prepared to assist provincial and territorial authorities with natural disasters in your community, including earthquakes, floods, storms, and forest fires.

Benefits of Joining

When you join our unit, you will receive competitive pay for your part time or full time work as well as be eligible for on the job training that could benefit you in civilian life. Also, there are medical, dental and educational benefits available to Army Reservists.
