The Prairie Farm Rehabilitation Administration (PFRA) works with Prairie people to develop a viable agricultural industry and sustainable rural economy in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and the Peace River Region of British Columbia.
In November 1977, the first two renewable leases were signed which allowed the Prairie Farm Rehabilitation Administration to establish and operate three community pastures.
The two leases encompass a large area of the Base not normally required for BATUS training or DRDC trials. Five thousand plus head of cattle graze in this area each year from June to November.
