42 CF Health Services Centre is located in Building A-47. Healthcare services that are provided include: diagnostic imaging, laboratory, pharmacy, physiotherapy, preventive medicine and mental health. The clinic is open for business from 0730-1630 hours during regular duty hours. After these hours, weekends and statutory holidays, the clinic is closed, however, personnel requiring medical attention should report to the nearest civilian medical facilities.
While medical emergencies will be seen at any time during regular duty hours, routine medical appointments hours can be booked by calling your Care Delivery Unit (CDU) clerk or reception at 4257. Those with acute medical conditions requiring medical attention should report to Sick Parade between 0730-1000 hours.
Ambulance services for CFB Gagetown are coordinated through civilian 911 on a 24-hour basis. This system includes ambulance services for CFB Gagetown and off Base, such as the PMQ’s, etc.
The Gagetown Mental Health clinic is located at 75 Restigouche Road North, in Oromocto. CF Mental Health Services delivery is made through a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to ensure that Regular and Reserve Force members receive the services that they need. To ensure quality mental health care for all soldiers, family members can at times be included in their treatment.
All Mental Health Services are confidential and include brief interventions; couple therapy; addictions awareness; administrative requests; pre/post deployment screenings, as well as assessment, diagnosis and treatment of CF members through a multidisciplinary approach to manage psychological, emotional, and spiritual needs of our clients. Other Services include client education, medication management, and advocacy.
Access to Mental Health Services can be done through self-referrals, which include walk-ins at 42 Health Services Centre (Building A-47) or by calling our office; referrals from unit CO’s/supervisors; Medical Staff; Addiction Counsellors; Chaplains; MFRC; and the Base Financial Counsellor.
