Base Fire Service - Emergency 911

Oromocto Fire Department - Emergency 911

Any person discovering a fire in CFB Gagetown or in the PMQ area shall:

  • take action to evacuate the danger area;
  • activate the nearest fire alarm or telephone the Fire Department (on Base 911 or PMQs 911) and describe the exact location of the fire;
  • use any available equipment to control the fire to minimize its spreading. Do not endanger lives or risk injury unnecessarily; and
  • remain at the scene to direct fire-fighters to the location of the fire.

When an evacuation is sounded, all personnel will secure classified material and make an immediate and orderly exit and report to an assembly point clear of the building where they will provide their full co-operation with the fire department.

All personnel are responsible for reading Fire Orders.

POL and Hazmat Response - Local 2106

All POL and Hazmat spill responses at CFB Gagetown are co-ordinated through Base Fire Services.

To report a POL/Hazmat incident, call the 24-hour number, local 2106. Be prepared to provide as much of the following information as possible:

  • Name
  • Telephone number
  • Building or grid location of spill
  • Product spilled (if known)
  • Amount of product (if known)
  • Safety and environmental concerns (if known)

Ensure the safety of all persons and remain at the site to direct fire or first responder personnel to the location.

Notification of spills occurring in the training area will be forwarded to the Fire Hall through Range Control.
