Technical Services Branch

Technical Services Branch is the largest organization in 3 Area Support Group. It has an average total strength of approximately 650 military and civilian personnel. It also has the distinction of being the largest service support organization in Land Forces Command.

The Branch is under command of the Technical Services Officer, a Lieutenant-Colonel, who is double hatted as the G4 of 3 ASG.

The Branch's primary responsibilities are to coordinate and provide technical service support, internal administration of its personnel and to provide advice on general safety matters.

The Headquarters has personnel administration, disciplinary and general safety advisors. It is also staffed to provide overall technical coordination of 3 ASG operations in the areas of logistics and maintenance by means of the G4 staff. There are also three companies, Transportation, Supply and Maintenance, and two detachments, Moncton and Charlottetown, that provide the means by which all technical support to CFB Gagetown and all other dependencies is effected.
