DRC

Interest Based Communication
The DRC is available to DND/CF members and employees, including members of the Canadian Cadet Organization. The Kingston and Region office serves the Cornwall to Kingston to Napanee Corridor. Our services are available to those who wish to explore alternative ways of resolving workplace conflict.

While mediation is the most well known Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) process, the DRC offers a range of interest-based approaches to help resolve workplace conflicts including but not limited to: Mediation, Conflict Coaching, Facilitation, Group Needs Assessment, Group Intervention and ADR Training. Our mediators are available to consult with you confidentially in determining which approach would best serve your particular circumstances and needs.

ADR training includes introduction to ADR and Conflict Management, and Interest-Based Communication. In addition, specialized training can be developed to satisfy a unit’s needs. General briefings for unit professional development and new arrivals can be arranged by contacting the DRC.

The DRC is located at 1A Ypres Drive at the corner of Ypres Drive and Assoro Crescent. To arrange for a briefing on ADR, to request training or for an ADR consultation, please contact the DRC at 541-5010 local 5641 or by email at DRCKingston@forces.gc.ca.
