Base Chief Warrant Officer
CWO Michael Beaulieu, MMM, CD
Chief Warrant Officer Michael Beaulieu was born in Windsor, Ontario and enrolled in the Canadian Forces in 1981. After completion of his occupational training he was posted to Canadian Forces Base Petawawa and served with several field units including the Airborne Service Commando. His career includes a wide variety of postings including several operational tours in Bosnia, Croatia, Syria and Afghanistan.
In 1986, he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and posted to CFB Lahr where he served in a number of positions including NCO IC of CFB Lahr Ration Commissary, Kitchen Manager of the Warrant and Sergeant’s Mess and the prestigious Black Forest Officers Mess.
Promoted to the rank of Warrant Officer in 1992, CWO Beaulieu was posted to the Army in the West - CFB Calgary - as the 1 Service Battalion KO. Upon completion of a 1 year tour in UNDOF Syria in 1999, he was promoted to the rank of Master Warrant Officer and posted to 2 CMBG HQ and Signals Squadron in Petawawa. In 2001, he returned to the Balkans with TFBH National Support Element Roto 8.
Promoted to Chief Warrant Officer in 2002, he was posted to CFSTG Borden as the Administration Branch CWO. In July 2008, CWO Beaulieu returned to the Army and was appointed as the RSM of 3 ASG Technical Services Branch in Gagetown New Brunswick.
Chief Warrant Officer Beaulieu has received several meritorious service awards during his career, including the Assistant Deputy Minister Merit Award, the Treasury Board Award of Excellence, and the Chief of the Defence Staff Innovation Award. He was appointed to the Order of Military Merit in 2004.
On 9 June 2011, CWO Beaulieu was appointed the CFB Kingston Base Chief Warrant Officer.
