Welcome to the WebPages of the Canadian Grenadier Guards Association. The principle goal of the association is to maintain connection between past and present members of the Regiment, and thereby promote their mutual interests and the welfare of the Regiment generally. In plain English, it is to keep former members of the Regiment in touch with what is currently going on with the Regiment. Members of the Association can be found attending the W.O. and Sgt.'s Mess Annual Remembrance Day Dinner, The Regimental Church Parade, Change of Command Parades, the Regimental Birthday Ball and other Regimental functions and parades. Along with the various Regimental functions, there are activities that are organized by the Association. Such activities include golf tournaments (both the Ottawa and Montreal chapters), hockey night in the mess, and other activities that are in the planning.
The Association is open to any former and current serving member of the Regiment. Whether you served with us for one summer or thirty (30) years, you are welcome to join us. We strongly encourage everyone to e-mail us to receive the registration form and rekindle the spark that once burned proud with the Regimental Pride.
As well as invitations to the various functions and activities as a member, you will also receive the regimental newsletter. The newsletter is full of interesting articles and facts. Articles about operations that members of the Regiment are currently on, unit training, columns by key people in the Regiment. And interesting tidbits about former members of the Regiment (births, marriages, where are they now, those who have passed on to the parade square in the sky, promotions, etc.)
Your yearly membership fees go towards the cost of printing and mailing the newsletters, as well as to reduce the costs for any of the planned activities. (card carrying members of the Association receive discounts for some of the activities as well as at the kitshop)
