Welcome to the web site of 3rd Canadian Ranger Patrol Group, which commands the Canadian Rangers of Northern Ontario.

The Canadian Rangers are a unique and vital component of the Canadian Forces.

Canadian Rangers are part-time reserve soldiers who provide a military presence in Canada’s remote and isolated regions, including Northern Ontario. They provide assistance in emergencies such as searches, plane crashes, forest fires and floods. They also operate the Junior Canadian Rangers, a youth program for boys and girls aged 12 to 18.
