Etobicoke armoury ready for Toronto Scottish
Official change of armoury ceremony will occur 12 September, 2009

Etobicoke Armoury

The new armoury in southern Etobicoke will see most of the Toronto Scottish Regiment move in late this summer. Not far from Lakeshore Blvd and Islington Ave, the building — whose main entrance is pictured — will house an infantry company, the headquarters of the regiment, and their Pipes & Drums (another company is in leased space in Mississauga). The 3600 foot square building has a drill hall, a small arms trainer, QM stores and a library. The rest of the complex will be occupied by the Toronto Police Service, which gains a purpose built training centre. The space being left at Fort York Armoury will become the home of the brigade’s Battle School.
