Colonel Andre Corbould, CD

Colonel Corbould Colonel Andre Corbould was born in Montreal, Quebec. He is married to Kaetlyn who is originally from Perth, Western Australia, and they have two children, Ryan and Harrisen. He enrolled in the Regular Force of the Canadian Forces in 1984 and graduated from the Royal Military College with a degree in Civil Engineering.

Colonel Corbould commanded heavy equipment and field troops in 2 Combat Engineer Regiment, Petawawa for two years. He commanded 2 Troop (Para) in Kuwait and Iraq in 1992 supporting the United Nations Iraq Kuwait Observer Mission (UNIKOM) with de-mining and border demarcation. He was then posted to 3 Field Engineer Regiment where he served as Operations Officer and Adjutant.

In 1994, Colonel Corbould was posted to the United Nations Protection Force (UNPROFOR) where he served as an engineer recce and liaison officer. After completing a year in Bosnia, he was posted to Headquarters 1 Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group in Calgary where he was employed as G3 Plans.

He commanded 11 Field Squadron, 1 Combat Engineer Regiment from 1996 to 1998. This time included a tour of duty in Bosnia with the NATO Stabilization Force (SFOR). He then spent a third year in sub-unit command as Officer Commanding 18 Administration Squadron.

Colonel Corbould was posted to National Defence Headquarters in 1999 where he worked in J3 Operations. He was assigned as the Chief of Staff for Canadian Task Force Timor during its activation in 1999.

He attended the Australian Command and Staff College in 2001 and he holds a Masters in Defence Management from the University of Canberra as well as a Masters in Defence Management and Policy from the Royal Military College of Canada.

From 2002 to 2003 he was employed as J3 Engineer Operations in the Strategic Joint Staff. He commanded 1 Combat Engineer Regiment from June 2003 to June 2005. He then served as G3 and Assistant Chief of Staff Operations at Land Force Western Area/Joint Task Force West. In Feb 2006 he deployed for six months to Afghanistan where he served in Combined Forces Command – Afghanistan, working with 24 Afghan Ministries and developing the coalition and NATO Provincial Reconstruction Team campaign.

>Colonel Corbould has served as Chief of Staff, Land Force Western Area since September 2006. He and his family enjoy fly fishing, hiking and downhill skiing.
